Teapots are a wonderfully meditative part of my ceramics practice, emphasizing patience, expression and function. These vessels typically take a considerably longer time to produce than most of my other work.

Flameware

Teapots and kettles designed for use on direct heat, using a specially formulated, proprietary black flameware.

Shiboridashi

Handle-less teapots used to serve tea. When tea is served from the pot it is brewed in, each pour in more concentrated than the last, so not everyone receives the same strength tea. When the tea is first transferred into a shiboridashi, then served, everyone at the table receives the same strength tea, a fair shake.
