My BFA was based largely on experimentation with form, surface, glaze and clay-body formulation. Thousands of test pieces, in dozens of firings over 5 years at ASU, my senior exhibition focused on two facets, dropped-rim tea-bowls and atmospheric simulation. The final result was presented in a two-faceted format, displaying the research on one side in a workshop format, and the discovery on the back side with dialed in lines of products and an industrial, shop feel.
