Friendship in Fire

Grayson and Augusta met in the spring of 2020, during Augusta’s short term residency with Virgil Ortiz at the Reitz Ranch. Grayson was the resident artist at the Reitz Ranch at the time, and a wonderful friendship was formed during their shared time together there. Their work continued together at the American Museum for Ceramic Arts in Pomona California, where Heidi Kreitchet facilitated visiting artist residencies for them both under the Wingate Grant. Grayson is an expert wood fire artist, focusing on non-objective sculpture and surfaces.
